Lemesos, also known as Limassol, is a lively Cypriot seaside town with many traditional shops and bars along with many tourist attractions. The oldest part of Lemesos has a 14th-century castle, a medieval fort, an archaeological museum, many traditional workshops, and an exciting market selling jewelry, silverware, leather goods, lace, and pottery. Surrounding the old port are some of the best restaurants in the city serving both traditional dishes and international cuisine. The Yermasogea area offers a wide variety of restaurants and a lively nightlife where locals mingle with partying tourists. Spring and Autumn sees temperatures around 20 degrees, making this a perfect time for nature lovers to enjoy hiking or cycling in the cooler Troodos mountains.
