All the fun things to do in Dubai

Hi, I’m Kish, talking about the splendid entertainment options in Dubai.

Dubai is one of the liveliest cities in the world today. Dubai is also regularly referred to as the City of Gold, the City of Festivals, and the Shopping Capital of the Middle East. Dubai has been drastically transformed since I moved there in 1994.

When it comes to Dubai entertainment, the city of Dubai could easily be compared to cities like New York, London, Paris, etc. In fact, you will find everything that all these different cities have to offer in one place; you have done well, Dubai! Check out my list of the best things to do in Dubai here.

Some of the various points of interest in Dubai, including Dubai’s various parks, shopping malls, Dubai nightlife, and restaurants.

The largest mall in the Middle East, MOE (as the general public would call it) included approximately 2,400,000 square feet of retail space, playground, cinemas, art gallery, and delicious cuisines from around the world. Its biggest claim to fame is the indoor ski slope, Ski Dubai.

Dubai Festival City, known as World Class Waterfront Lifestyle Resort is another destination not to be missed. It includes shopping, restaurants, entertainment, homes, schools, hotels and offices in one place. This subarea of Dubai city offers a nice microcosm of what Dubai entertainment is all about!

Spread out along the Dubai Creek, it gives a San Antonio river stroll feel (hey, I’m living in Texas right now!), Just a much cleaner and more enjoyable version. And then there is the ever popular Dubai Gold Market or Souk. Souk translates to a traditional market in Arabic.

This souk which is located in the center of Dubai’s eastern commercial business district, Deira has gold practically everywhere. There are narrow alleys (like the alleys of Manhattan, but less scary), streets and buildings full of gold and diamonds in this area, and people from all over the world trade almost exclusively in jewelry.

The souk has a lot to offer such as earrings, bracelets, pendants, rings and necklaces. A quick fact: at any given time, more than 25 tons of gold are on display in the Gold Souk.

Moving on to the Dubai nightlife, little did I know that there is so much in Dubai. After all, I was only seventeen when I moved in, not really the age of the party!

Without a doubt, the bars and clubs stay open until 3 in the morning and are located throughout the city in large tourist hotels. Dress codes are typically relaxed, and big-name DJs are quite popular in Dubai, despite the fact that some don’t allow jeans, sandals, or sneakers. Dubai nightlife is a big part of the complete Dubai entertainment package!

For a quieter evening, you can relax in a seaside cafe and smoke a mild-flavored tobacco from a shisha (hookah) pipe. Most cafes and restaurants stay open until midnight or later, especially on weekends. Or you could invariably relax at home and entertain yourself with an amazing television viewing in Dubai.
