Of these organized summer events, first on the calendar will be the annual Boatnik held each Memorial Day weekend in Grants Pass. Boat-Nik includes powerboat races, Boatnik Parade, a fireworks display, carnival at Riverside Park, and of course the long-awaited powerboat races and whitewater float plane competition. The monument will be another must-see destination during your stay in Rogue Valley. It is located within the Siskiyou Coast Range at an elevation of four thousand feet. If you are contemplating a tour in the Oregon caves, they are seasonal. They are only available from the end of March to the end of November.

During your visit to Grants Pass, don’t miss the summer concerts in Riverside Park on Tuesday nights. For additional musical entertainment, there’s the historic downtown Rogue Theater which often hosts top performers. There is also the “Back to the 50’s” special event consisting of free concerts, a vintage car show showcasing over five hundred classic vehicles. On the first Friday of every month there is “First Friday Art Night” with many of the city’s retailers offering free samples, wine tasting and featuring an artist displaying their work and often available for purchase. .

Grants Pass hotels have much to offer their guests, from historic buildings to recreation and outdoor adventures almost year-round. There are also stunning views in the Rogue, Illinois and Applegate Valleys and the nearby Cascade Mountains.
