Unconventional flower displays in the former indoor pool will offer suggestions for home and garden décor, leaving you with unforgettable impressions of flowers in all shapes and colors.
Castle Ippenburg and its gardens will present Gardens for tomorrow
For the last 12 years, it has annually hosted the well-known festival throughout Europe Gartenlust und Landvergnügen, better translated as garden delight and enjoyment of the countryside. A kaleidoscope of special interest gardens will unfold during the State Garden Show in 2010. Against the backdrop of the beautiful castle, classical and artistic exhibits will be on display with an emphasis on shrubs and summer flowers. On the way to Ippenburg, you will pass through Rose Island. It is a clearing in the meadow, surrounded by hundred-year-old trees and water, giving the impression of a foyer in a theater, with a rose-covered rondel in the center. The gardens of the Ippenburg Castle are also the right place to rediscover the Kitchen Garden. A wide variety of fruits and vegetables are grown here in combination with roses and shrubs. The garden is surrounded by the old natural stone wall and also protects long forgotten or unknown plants. The small greenhouse is used as a garden kitchen throughout the Bad Essen Garden Show 2010.
