Lower Ab Exercises That Work, Even For Post-Pregnancy Fat

Every day it seems we are being shown lower abs exercises that “work” through infomercials, TV commercials, magazine articles, and online videos. But in reality most of the clients in my weight loss program have not had any success with these methods, or with almost everything they have done before.

Asian women have perfected various exercises for the lower abs for generations that can not only reduce inches in that area, but can also help tighten the loose skin that usually occurs after childbirth. Today we are going to take a look at two of her favorite routines and how you can use them to tighten that tummy!

Lower Ab Exercises That Work

Honestly, you’re not going to learn all the lower abs exercises that work from a single short article or web page, it takes a solid program of healthy habits and the right diet to really achieve the body of your dreams. However, you CAN learn a trick or two that will help you in the short term and get you started on the road to success:

1. Suck it up and burn it

This is one of the best methods I’ve had success with for my weight loss groups, and I call it the “vacuum” technique. Basically, what you’re doing here is using the powerful muscles of your diaphragm (core) to forcefully draw in and then expel air as you breathe… but with one noticeable difference:

You’re going to keep the core muscles of your midsection tight once you get all the air out of your lungs.

It’s easy to do but hard to master as you have to keep the right pace for the magical process to kick in and begin to compress the layers of fat and loose skin around your belly. Simply focus on holding your stomach once the air is gone, almost as if you were posing for an “After” photo in a Before/After diet commercial.

Work your way up to 25 reps per day, with one inhalation/hold/exhalation counting as 1 x rep.

2. Your hands hold the key

This is even easier than the suction method, and is one of my go-to lower abs exercises that works to quickly eliminate problem areas anywhere on the body.

In fact, I do this process at night while watching TV, along with my Asian brushing routine, to quickly melt the fat in my body, which will cause it to burn as energy instead of hanging from my stomach.

All you need to do this is treat your midsection like you’re giving it a very firm massage… but you’re not concentrating on loosening up the muscles like you would during a real massage, you’re squeezing and kneading the rolls of grease to break them up.

The heat your hands generate by rubbing the skin actually helps with a double whammy by directly hitting the fat under the skin, causing them to break down some of the connective tissue that “holds” them to the belly area. They are then assimilated back into the bloodstream, where they can be dissolved as energy.

As one of my favorite lower abs exercises, this technique can give you results any time of day… even while you’re at work or doing chores.
