Let’s go Diego Let’s go! Educate and entertain

The “Come on Diego, come on!” Television series are touted as highly educational for the preschool age group, two to four year olds. Diego is the cousin of Dora the Explorer, and after appearing on Dora’s show several times a new series was made that revolves around Diego. While many think that Dora attracts girls and the “Go Diego, Go!” The show primarily attracts male viewers of preschool age, this is not actually the case. Diego is equally popular with all preschoolers, regardless of whether they are male or female.

In short, the series revolves around eight-year-old Diego who, accompanied by his friend ‘Baby Jaguar’, goes around rescuing all kinds of animals that are in trouble. The show uses this approach to help younger children learn all about nature and the animal kingdom, with each episode featuring a specific animal. While the Dora Explorer program revolves primarily around teaching Spanish to preschoolers, “Go, Diego, Go!” he specializes more in teaching the animal kingdom with a little Spanish, something most young children love.

Parents and educators alike agree that this program has been very helpful in teaching children facts about animals. During the course of each episode, a series of facts about animals are explained to the children, and about half of these facts are reviewed throughout the episode. By the end of the program, most of the children, even as young as two, have retained some of the facts that were shared with them during the course of the program. It is also very interactive, and children are encouraged to participate throughout the program.

Not only does he teach children about animals, but he also fosters good morals and attitudes between Diego and his friends. During the course of the series we meet Dora, Diego’s sister, Alicia, and her grandfather.

To complement the series, there is now also a selection of DVDs for sale, with episodes compiled and sometimes adding an educational game on the DVD. Several popular computer games for children have also been released.

If you’re concerned about your preschooler watching educational and moral-building TV shows, you can’t go wrong with ‘Go, Diego, Go!’ With its animal-themed facts and learning, and upbeat, fun music and songs, this show will likely have any preschooler glued to the screen throughout the episode and then begging for more once it’s done.
