The Basic Skin Care Routine Anyone Can Follow

All our organs need care and periodic detoxifications; Why should our skin be treated differently? After all, it is the largest organ in our body. It protects us from the harsh external conditions and keeps the interiors in place. Since this organ is exposed to the external environment all day, every day, it makes sense to pay attention to it so that it continues to function properly.

Why should I care about skin care?

Skin care has been dismissed as a vanity in recent years. A person who pays attention to their body is labeled a narcissist. But you need to understand that daily work, busy schedules, and a hectic, unhealthy lifestyle take a toll on her body. The symptoms of poor health appear first on the skin, before any other part of the body. Indeed, time takes its toll on us, but premature wrinkles, dull skin, sun damage, and some serious conditions like eczema and psoriasis can all be prevented and treated with a proper care routine.

How do I start a suitable and ideal routine?

Before designing a regimen, you must determine your skin type. The different types include: oily, dry, sensitive, and combination skin. Also, you should check if there are any other issues you want to address. You need to understand that there is no one set regimen for everyone because we are all different. Which means that what works for your family or friends might not be the best solution for you.

What is the Basic Skin Care Regimen?

Since the routine depends on the skin type, we have put together a main practice that will work for everyone. It includes –

For the morning ritual

1. Cleaning

To clean, you should invest in a sulfate-free cleaner. These cleansers are gentle and don’t completely strip away natural oils, leaving you feeling soft and smooth. A good cleanser removes excess oil and dirt without drying you out.

2. Toning

Stay away from toners that contain alcohol. Alcoholic tonics are harsh and will cause dryness. You can use natural toners like rose water. And if you are one of those with dry skin, you can skip this step.

3. Moisturizing

Moisturizers help in hydration. Use a moisturizer that contains SPF to protect yourself from the sun. There are different types of moisturizers for different skin types. Before choosing one, remember that it is better to choose a natural product that is organic and non-comedogenic.

For the night

1. Cleaning

You can use the same cleanser that you used in the morning. If you wear makeup, you will need to clean off all the makeup and dirt with cleansing oil and wash off the rest with the cleanser.

2. Apply serum

Antioxidant serums are nutrient-dense formulated to nourish your face. Look for ingredients like vitamin C, algae extracts, and resveratrol.

3. Eye cream

People who have puffy eyes or dark circles will benefit from the use of a suitable eye cream.

4. Moisturizing

For better nourishment at night, choose a water-based moisturizer that offers hydration without clogging pores.
