Max (Maximum Ride, Book 5) by James Patterson – Book Review

Max (Maximum Ride, Book 5) is the fifth installment (obviously) in the Maximum Ride book series, an adventure series of teenage mutant children who are chased by mutant wolf-like creatures calling themselves The Erasers. I know the books are meant for kids and teens, and the plot already has lame names and a cliché plot, but James Patterson actually writes pretty decently.

Maximum Ride, or Max, is a 14-year-old girl who is obviously a mutant and has bird-like features and can fly. She and her equally mutated friends spend their time trying to save the world her way and being hunted by the bad guys I mentioned earlier called The Erasers, trying to escape being guinea pigs in a research facility. scientist called The School.

The Flock, as Max and his friends are called, face a new adventure in this fifth installment when they discover that the evil mastermind is out hunting them again, while they are still recovering from their previous adventure in the Arctic. In addition to the danger they face, millions of fish are suddenly dying for an unknown reason, posing a threat of extinction. So what happens is that Max and his friends are recruited by the government to discover the cause of the phenomenon while trying to save their necks at the same time.

I know that everything from the plot to the teenage superheroes who can fly sounds like a cliché, but James Patterson somehow makes it all so interesting and exciting. Hey, you already reached the fifth installment, right? I would recommend this book not only to those teenagers who are looking for an adventure reading, but also to those who are bored with the type of books they are reading. Max (Maximum Ride, Book 5) will definitely be a good new read for you.
