La Tania Skier’s Guide, 3 Valley’s Resort
Throughout the La Tania ski resort there is plenty of accommodation for you, including many well-equipped ski chalets. La Tania is part of the great Tres Valles resort, which has more than 600 km of slopes for all ski levels. The town itself retains a community feel and has all the facilities you need for an enjoyable and unforgettable ski holiday. The village is one of the newer resorts in the Three Valleys ski area of France. It was officially opened in 1992 for the Olympic Games and has been a popular winter ski destination ever since. It has retained the friendly town feel that it was based on from the start. With many of the ski chalets built from local timber and the village surrounded by a pine forest, it has a quaint feel that instantly puts people at ease.

The La Tania resort connects with the Three Valleys ski area, which is the largest in the world. You will have more than 2,500 hectares of skiable domain and more than 600 kilometers of slopes that start from the very door of the ski chalets. La Tania accesses the Courchevel and Meribel ski areas via the ski lifts and gondola lifts, or you can take the free ski bus to Courchevel, Meribel and Le Praz every hour until 10pm. With 293 races to choose from in the hilly area, you don’t even need to do the same race twice. There are three runs that take you right back to town, and most of the season you’ll be able to ski right to your door. High-quality snow is offered throughout the season, with many areas with powder snow. In addition to the natural snow that falls in the area, there are 1,500 snow cannons to ensure that the snow is at its best from November to April.
About the city
The village is traffic free and has all the facilities you will need during your stay. Different types of accommodation are offered, including luxurious ski chalets. La Tania has several ski equipment rental shops, a supermarket, newsagent, bakery, eight different restaurants with a variety of cuisines and six bars. There are several ski schools in the area, including the largest in France, and they offer nurseries and junior ski schools for the little ones. You can buy your Three Valleys ski area pass from the gondola, giving you access to over 600km of ski slopes.

When you kick off your ski boots, there is plenty to do and see around the town and around the ski chalets at La Tania. Relax those muscles and prepare your body for the next day on the slopes with a relaxing session in the sauna or spa. There are a variety of activities on offer including paragliding, dog sledding, snowshoeing and snowmobiling for the thrill seekers among you. Outside of the snow, there are bowling, movie theaters, an ice skating rink, and indoor rock climbing.
