Island of Puerto Rico, A Beautiful Destination!

Everyone is looking for an exotic location, and often the most obvious seems too popular to consider. But when it comes to an island like Puerto Rico, it would be a great idea for you to reconsider it as a destination to visit. This is one of those Caribbean islands that’s just a stone’s throw from American shores, and yet it’s very different from the concrete jungles you’ll find there. What you will find on this island is a very colorful little island with a culture and tradition so diverse that it is endearing. Right next to some magnificent Spanish-style forts dating back to the 15th century are some funky little restaurants. You will find huge shopping malls located on the edge of huge tropical jungles. The nightlife is something to rave about and there are several dazzling casinos where you can try your luck. And if you’re a beach bum, Puerto Rico’s seas have something special in store for you.

There is something for every type of tourist here in Puerto Rico. Those who love the outdoors have so much to look forward to. Take for example the beauty of Isla Mona. You can also take local transportation to the Carite State Forest. This is located in the far reaches of the central mountains and gives you a glimpse of Puerto Rico’s neighboring island of Culebra. For biking enthusiasts, you can even cycle around the magnificent island of Vieques. Enjoy your stay here on this island.

One important thing to do when visiting Puerto Rico is not to come with an itinerary at hand. Instead, keep your options open and allow yourself to discover the place as you go. The city has a lot of history that can be interesting even for the simplest tourists. Take, for example, beautiful San Juan, where you’ll find remnants of colonial-style buildings and, in fact, an entire city that has been preserved that way. You’ll find seniors lounging in recliners and two of the most incredible military forts you’ve ever seen in the region. Head to the south coast of Ponce and enjoy the beauty of the Atlantic, like you’ve never seen it before. And the night life? Suffice to say, if reggae is your thing, you’ve made it.
