water gas

Water gas is a great idea if you need to save money on running your car. Using a catalyst and passing an electric current through water produces a form of hydrogen that burns 10 times better than gasoline. It is known as hydroxy gas, Klein’s gas, or Brown’s gas.

So it’s not really a matter of a car running directly on water, but rather on the gas produced by splitting this element. For our purposes, it’s fine to call it water gas. Almost everyone who uses water gas uses a kit that is an add-on for a standard car engine. Supplements the petroleum or diesel entering the carburetor with hydrogen (hydroxy) gas.

Currently, running a car entirely on water is not very practical. I’m sure it will come; Remember the size of computers in the 1970s, and despite their size, their lack of power? But for now hybrid cars are the only feasible option. That means a pre-built kit that costs about $6,000 or a manual, materials, and mechanic, which costs about $350, or $200 less if you don’t need a mechanic.

And that’s more than okay. With the addition of water gas to a standard engine, an average sedan can achieve over 100 miles per gallon of fuel. Mileage improvements range from 25% to 70%. What is certain is that you will put less gasoline into your tank every time you are at the gas station.

How does water gas work?

To produce water gas in your car or truck, all you need is an instruction manual, basic materials available at hardware and electrical stores, and possibly a mechanic. There are three main elements.

First is the water gas cell. The casing can be made of most types of plastic, probably the best being CPVC, due to its resistance to high temperatures. It is lined with aluminum and a catalyst has been added to it. These vary from flat to circular, from aluminum to platinum. When an electrical current is passed through the water that is added to the cell, the H2O is converted to HHO through the catalyst and hydroxy gas bubbles through the water. Very easy to install and remove, this water gas generator will need to be picked up and cleaned every month or two.

The hydrogen then passes through a simple vaporizer on its way to the carburettor. This is simply to ensure that no unwanted vapors get into the engine. It costs a few dollars.

The last element is an electronic control unit connected to the ignition system and the generator. Again, it’s extremely simple to make and very cheap. With the right instructions, you can’t go wrong.

And that’s really the size for anyone interested in running a car on water gas.
