Piano Beginner: 5 Bad Habits You Shouldn’t Develop!

When they first start playing the piano, many people pick up bad habits. These habits will make it more difficult to learn and master this art and can make practicing a very frustrating experience. how do you have piano for beginners, you may not even realize you’ve developed these bad habits, but sticking with them will make the learning process take much longer than it needs to. Here are 5 clothes you should not develop.

1. Not sitting properly at the piano

The way you sit and position your arms and hands directly affects how well and easily you can play. Your back should be straight, shoulders relaxed, upper arms vertical, forearms and hands horizontal, and fingertips resting comfortably on the keys.

2. Being tense… Not having your fingers fully relaxed

In order for you to play smoothly and over time with a professional sound, your fingers must be relaxed. Flex your fingers regularly to loosen the joints, and practice moving your fingers across the keys in a smooth, relaxed manner.

3. Not making sure you play every note with the right finger

This is a big no no! Always make sure you play with the correct finger for each note. Follow the numbers on your fingers until you know them by heart.

4. Overlooking the music… Not reading the music properly

You want to make sure you have the right timing and rhythm. As a beginner, you can’t skimp on the music because it will unbalance the song. Not skimping means you may have to play very slowly at first, but don’t worry about that. You will eventually speed up. A professional piano player can skimp on the music and get away with it, and still sound great. A piano beginner cannot. Don’t try to play like a pro. Read the music correctly every time.

5. Not keeping your fingers on each key long enough for the note to last the correct number of beats.

Be sure to time each note so you know how long each note should be and how long each rest should be. This is what makes music sound good. If you don’t master this, your song will always be off beat. Make sure you understand the timing of each melody.
