It’s not the government’s job to make everyone the same

Somehow, here in America we have developed a wrong definition of equality.

The true definition of equality means that we should all have an equal opportunity to live up to our highest potential with regard to our desires and abilities.

That does not mean that we will all be equal in height, financial position, social position, etc.

It just means that we must have the same opportunity to achieve the level of success that we desire or are capable of achieving.

We are all born in different life situations with different life paths, for some, living a life simply rather than becoming a social or political achiever is all they wish for. For them, living a successful career in politics or business would be unnatural and against everything they were born to do.

Many think that the job of governments is to make things equal and lift up those who have not achieved the success that others believe they should be.

The best the government can do is get out of our way, we as Americans are more than capable of charting our own course and deciding how we want to live, solve our own problems, and pay back our karma. We really don’t need help.

Our country was founded on the principles of self-reliance and tough individualism. They gave us a government in which it is possible to design our life and improve our lives or spoil it according to what we see fit.

As long as we don’t harm anyone else, it’s none of your business.

Sadly, in today’s world, many Americans have come to believe that it is easier for someone else to run their lives than for them. It’s easier for someone else to decide how much money you can earn, letting the government provide health care, education, and many other necessities in life.

Letting someone else run your life gives you more time to have fun and enjoy a beer after work, while giving the responsibility to someone else.

Then when something goes wrong, they have someone to blame.

Then they can say that it is not their fault, that they had nothing to do with it.

What they forget is that when others or the government are providing all of their wants and needs, then the government can take it all away from them in the blink of an eye, which they can and will do at some point.

We are all born equal, it is for each and every one of us to determine the best way forward, it is not the responsibility or duty of the government, being equal to others is impossible because we all have different talents, traits and desires. The government cannot control that.
