If you’re on a diet, being hungry is good

If you’re looking for fast and effective fat burning, listen closely. It’s okay to allow yourself to be hungry. Trying to lose those last few pounds quickly can be difficult (like right before the holidays). Avoiding snacks during those times of hunger means that you are letting your body burn some of its reserves, also known as fat.

It may be old fashioned, but it works!

Old school thinking meant that dieting equaled hunger pangs. Then, new ideas emerged suggesting that it was better to eat small meals throughout the day. In theory, this kept their metabolism running at a higher rate. Unfortunately, this doesn’t work very well for most people.

Do smaller meals work for you?

I have to tell you, this doesn’t work for me. No matter how I try this “6 Small Meals” plan, it never makes me thinner. The problem with having six small meals a day is that your body constantly has some food to burn. Your body never has to go to its stores (body fat) for energy. Any exercise or activity simply burns calories from the food you are eating

Eat more like a child?

The children seem to be able to go all day, playing hard, without being hungry. Staying so busy, having so much fun, almost makes you forget to eat. Until you stopped! Then you would starve, but still only eat what you need. Active children generally look slim and healthy. Think of eating like a child!

“My metabolism is not what it used to be”

In general, children do not eat as often as adults. Well, you should specify healthy children. Those who sit with video games and the Internet become obese, but those active kids stay slim and healthy. Staying indoors near food means you’ll eat more. Adults who are stuck behind a desk all day, or work near food, aren’t likely to burn body fat very easily. Staying away from extra food, being hungry from time to time, can be very good for your metabolism.

Being hungry can mean losing weight

Our bodies don’t really require an endless supply of food. Not exactly that you should starve, but being hungry isn’t always bad. When your body is hungry, it starts to burn its reserve energy (body fat) and you will get leaner. You’ll see more visible results faster. Being a little hungry before a hard cardio workout will also increase your ability to burn fat. If you want to lose weight, be a little hungry!
