Homer’s odyssey examined through neologisms

Homer’s classic Epic-Odyssey belongs to the canons of Greek literature. Odyssey is a description of the return journey of the epic hero Ulysses after the Trojan War. He faces insurmountable problems with the sea god Poseidon against him. At his home in Ithaca, there are several suitors who are eager for their Penelope. He is able to successfully overcome all problems and kill the suitors who are competing for his wife. Here I would like to analyze the Odyssey using newly coined neologisms.

Metapsychosis

Metapsychosis is a condition in which gods and goddesses intervene in the destiny of man. In the book we counteract various aspects of metapsychosis. Let’s look at Poseidon’s anger against Ulysses that caused him to shipwreck. Then there is the goddess Athena who pleads with Zeus so that he can be rescued. We find the hero trapped by the wiles of the nymph Calypso and Circe. Metapsychosis in a modern context applies to humans who are subject to the destiny of their destiny.

Demo-anarchism

Demoanarchism is coined from democracy and anarchism. In the state of Ithaca, presuming the death of the protagonist, there are a series of suitors who compete for Penelope’s marriage. This can be classified as the existence of demoanarchism. Penelope takes a bold stance and evades the wishes of her suitors. The Trojan War was a war that was fought on a democratic basis and can be compared to the Gulf War, where the United States liberated Kuwait from the hands of Saddam Hussein. The decision that the god Poseidon made not to favor the journey of Ulysses is also a state of demoanarchism.

Paradoxes

Paradoxis is a peculiar trauma that Ulysses faces when he is shipwrecked and stranded on various islands. He faces the condition of being in the paradox of being human and being God. However, he remains steadfast in his faith to be loyal to Penelope and return to the island of Ithaca. When he confronts Calypso and Circe, he manages to evade their temptations thanks to the intervention of the gods. Paradoxis also refers to the conflict of gods that weighs on the fate of Ulysses.

Metacolonization

Meta-colonization is a symptom that the gods are colonialists and interfere with the hero’s life. The wrath of Poseidon and the shipwreck of Ulysses mark the birth of colonization in a metaphysical sense. The whole history of European colonization has its birth in the poem. We find that the character of the actor in the poem is democratic, seeking the pursuit of democracy by force of character.

Mytopoesis

Mythopoesis is the characterization of the network of supernatural and natural elements in the office of poetry. Odysseus faces a mountain of problems on his journey back from Troy. Some of the problems are created by the gods to test the character and strength of Ulysses. The Odyssey poem is intensely subjective and carries the catharsis of poetic subjectivity.
