Are you studying for the CPA exam while you work?

Studying the CPA exam is more difficult than you might think. It becomes more difficult when you also work at the same time. The struggle is real. This is my personal experience when I finished college and started working as a clerk at this law firm in Texas. The goal is to finish university with the Accounting course and I was successful in finishing my Bachelor of Accounting. The problem started when I finished college and had to pay for my own apartment. This is where adulthood comes in and you begin to realize the responsibility of adulthood. I had no choice but to work even if I am not yet a CPA. Taking the CPA exam was the original plan after college, but our family ran into financial trouble, so I had to step in and be an adult. I am 24 years old, I live alone and pay my way of life. The office job helps a lot in my financial situation. However, there is an empty goal on my list. And that’s being a CPA.

So, I started to think and look at things from different perspectives. Even though my job pays the bill, I still want to be a CPA. I decided to take the CPA exam this year. Hopefully, I can finish all four sections in a year or so. I haven’t taken the exam since I graduated from college. I had to put him on hold so I could work and pay the bills. Things are crazy than I thought.

Taking the CPA exam is not easy. There are so many requirements that I have to meet, which luckily I was able to meet just in time before the exam. Now, I have 2 months left before my first section exam. I can’t wait to finish this!

The real problem now is the study. It would be a piece of cake if you weren’t working at the same time. I like studying. When I was in college, I liked studying and really focused on my course. I keep things in balance. But now, that I am also working, things are really complicated than I thought. It’s definitely not easy multitasking. Time management came into play. It is important that you can handle two things at the same time. So after working 8 to 9 hours a day, I need to get home as early as possible to study. I study for 5-6 hours and then I go to sleep. Same routine for the next 2 months until I finish taking a test and wait for the score. There will still be 3 sections. I guess I have to be patient and focus on this goal. I can do this! Right?
